Walking tours
Taste the pleasant atmosphere of Amsterdam for a few hours.
"How we enjoyed the enthusiastic stories of our tour guide and all the beautiful things he showed us. Amsterdam is a nice city".
This is a typical reaction to the "Mee in Mokum" city tours. These tours are very special indeed, they let you taste the atmosphere of Amsterdam and enable you to get acquainted with those aspects that make Amsterdam such an exceptionally nice city.
The guides of these tours are proud of Amsterdam and very attached to it. They all live in the city, (some for more than half a century). They cooperate in "Mee in Mokum" as volunteers and consider it a hobby.
Consequently, these tours are not professional excursions but informal walks, each guide has his own route and his own story.
The guides tell you about life in this city from their own experience, about the differences between Amsterdam of the past and Amsterdam today.
